Ahli midfielder Mohamed Shawky is on the brink of Middlesbrough move as both clubs are very close to reaching an agreement over the transfer fee. “We received a fax from Middlesbrough and they made a £400 000 offer for Shawky after the player passed the medical,” Adli Al-Qaeyi, Ahli's marketing manager told FilGoal.com on Thursday. “We asked them to raise the offer plus a percentage of the player's next sale and we are waiting for their answer. The deal could be sealed in the next few hours,” added Al-Qaeyi who refused to reveal any further details. The 25-year-old midfielder, whose relationship with his manager Manuel Jose reached a dead end, has been in trial at Boro since last Thursday and hopes the transfer could be completed especially that the transfer window will be closed on Friday.
