Ahli board allowed striker Emad Meteb and midfielder Mohamed Shawki to go on trial at Middlesbrough after the Premiership club sent official bids for the Egypt duo. Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi said that both players will fly to England after the national team's friendly against Ivory Coast in France on August 22nd. "We have received two offers from Middlesbrough for Meteb and Shawki, and the board allowed the players to go on trial," Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com. Al-Qaeyi stated that the African champions received 1.5million Pounds for Meteb and 250,000 for Shawki.
