Masri club's board of directors is set to discuss the demands of new coach Helmi Toulan following the return of president Sayed Metwali. Toulan, who recently revealed he reached an agreement with Metwali to take over the team, had opened fire on Masri's board, accusing them of "trying to destroy the football team". Masri's board members are not happy with Toulan choosing his coaching staff, which includes Magdi Al-Muhammadi (assistant coach), Ali Maher (trainer) and Hassan Ali (goalkeeping coach). Toulan has insisted that choosing the technical staff was solely his decision and threatened to quit otherwise.

Among the players that Toulan wants in Port Saied are Aboul-Magd Mostafa, Sherif Al-Beyali, Mohamed Fahim and Hamdi Zaki (Arab Contractors), Youssef Abdul-Rahman (Al-Gaish), Mohamed Al-Hadidi (ENPPI), Ibrahim Helal (Olympic), Ehab Hommos (Koroum), Henry Akile (Asyut Petroleum) and Enymba's goalkeeper. The players who will be put on the transfer list are: Amr Moussa, Ahmed Roushdi, Ali Gomaa, Mohamed Aboul-Magd, Bassem Wagdi, Sherif Wasfi, Mohamed Al-Etrawi, Ayman Ramadan Iboon Massenga and Cherno Mansaray.
