Zamalek move closer to Toulan deal after Cajuda's sacking
Published in FilGoal on 16 - 12 - 2006

Helmi Toulan has reached a preliminary agreement with Zamalek to become their new coach after the sacking of Portuguese boss Manuel Cajuda on Friday.
Toulan met Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas and few board members and initially accepted the club's offer but delayed his final decision until meeting the whole board on Saturday.
The former Harras Al-Hodoud manager has also nominated certain names to work with him in the new technical staff.
Toulan, who had a spell with Zamalek as an assistant to German coach Otto Pfister six years ago, demanded Zamalek to give him all authorities to manage the team.

Cajuda and his technical staff axed
Zamalek sacked Cajuda and his technical staff following the team's 2-0 away defeat to Masri in the Egyptian League.
"We've thanked Cajuda for his efforts during the past period and told him his contract has been terminated," Zamalek board member Sabri Abou-Alam told FilGoal.com.
"The board will hold a meeting with him on Saturday to reach a compromise regarding his due penalty fee."
Cajuda was appointed as Zamalek coach in January to succeed Farouk Gaafar but failed to live up to the fans' expectations.
He was involved in several bust-ups with Zamalek stars recently and his relationship with the club's board reached a dead end.
