German keeper Jens Lehman extended his contract at Arsenal for another year to end speculations concerning his future at the club. "I'm going to stay an extra year, Arsenal's a great club with a good outlook,” Lehman told Bild magazine. The 37-year-old wanted a two-year extension but Arsenal's policy is only to offer one-year deals to players aged over 30. It was almost sure that the World Cup bronze medalist will quit Emirates that even he had reached an agreement with Hertha Berlin. One point made the difference "I want to play in the Champions League next season." Hertha are seventh and won't be able to play in the UEFA most prestigious competition. Lehmann joined Arsenal in 2003 and signed three successive one-year contracts with the club.
