Published in FilGoal on 14 - 03 - 2007

Egypt moved up one position in the FIFA monthly ranking on Wednesday to settle in the 41st place and maintain their status as the leading Arab national team.
The pharaohs played one match in February against Sweden and claimed a 2-0 home win, thanks to goals from Amr Zaki and Ahmed Fathi.
Egypt top Arab teams in the ranking and lie sixth in the African countries' list.
Argentina jumped from third place to claim top spot for the first time since the introduction of the ranking
The South Americans were largely helped by their 1-0 victory over World Cup finalists France in Paris last February.
Brazil, which have been the usual masters for the contest, were ousted by Italy last month and have yet seen another decline this month by slipping to third, as the Italians gave up the summit to hold second place.
Cameroon topped African teams holding 18th place, while Iran who are in 34th place were the highest ranked Asian country.
Major moves to the upper reaches included Panama who had a massive upsurge of 20 places to move to 54th, as well as Finland who are 33rd after climbing 15 places.
Canada recorded the highest decline slipping 16 places to be in the 103rd position.
This month's table included eight international friendlies as well as nine CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying matches.
The Top 10
1-Argentina
2-Italy
3-Brazil
4-France
5-Germany
6-England
