Egypt moved back one place to 26th in the FIFA monthly ranking for November 2006 despite defeating South Africa in a friendly international. The Pharaohs beat South Africa 1-0 last week but it was not enough to maintain their position as other national teams registered good results. Egypt remained the top dogs in the Arab category for the seventh successive month and replaced Ghana in the fourth spot in Africa. Meanwhile, Brazil are still on top of the rankings followed by world champions Italy while Argentina leapfrogged France to grab third place.
