Ahli board have decided to air the team's League games on local and satellite channels starting with their new season opener against Tanta on Thursday. The board reiterated their decision to ban the games from being broadcasted after high Egyptian Television officials interfered to reach a new settlement with the club. Ahli's marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com on Thursday that the new settlement will allow broadcasting the team's League games until the inauguration of the Television channel the Cairo giants are preparing to launch in mid-September. Al-Qaeyi added that once the club's official channel is inaugurated, it will have priority on broadcasting all the club's major events including the football League games. Ahli had an earlier agreement with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) allowing them to market the team's League games, however following a Wednesday board meeting, the club wanted to cancel such agreement and market their games unilaterally.
