Egypt's Ministry of Education and Technical Education has signed a landmark letter of intent (LoI) with Cambridge University Press & Assessment to improve English language education and teacher training in public schools across the country. This marks the first cooperation of its kind between Egypt's public education system and the globally renowned Cambridge institution, according to a ministry statement issued on Wednesday. The collaboration aims to raise students' English speaking and writing skills to international standards by leveraging global best practices tailored to Egyptian educational needs, the release added. Cambridge University Press & Assessment will assist in developing English curricula and teacher training programs to provide a comprehensive and gradual approach to teaching English, ensuring students of all levels gain a strong language foundation.
