Arsenal forward Jose Antonio Reyes has said he wants to return to Spain and would cherish a move to Primera Liga giants Real Madrid. "I have always said I want a return to Spain. I have not adapted to life in England," Reyes was quoted as saying by British media on Sunday. "If Real Madrid want me that is marvelous. It would be an honor to play for them. Let's see what happens." The 22-year-old forward had been linked with Real Madrid previously, but extended his Arsenal contract for six more years last summer. Reyes came to Arsenal in 2004 in a £17 million switch from Sevilla, now Real Madrid may pull the young star in as reinforcement for recent buys Emerson, Fabio Cannavaro and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Despite the interest in returning to his home land, Reyes who scored 23 goals with the English team heaped on praise for the Arsenal club and supporters. "I have nothing against Arsenal, completely the opposite. It is a great club and they have helped me so much," Reyes added. "The fans have given me so much support since I joined," the Spanish international added. Reyes has appeared 110 times for the Gunners and admitted the language difference has made his adjustment to London difficult. "They know that I have not got used to the language or the weather." In early 2005, the pacy forward first admitted his interest in joining Real Madrid when a radio host hoaxed him into thinking he was Real's sporting director Emilio Butragueno.
