Bucker prohibits long vacations in Ismaili
Published in FilGoal on 31 - 12 - 2005

Ismaili boss Theo Bucker agreed with the club board to make use of the Egyptian league's break, that will last until February, and to totally revamp the ailing team with intense preparation and training.
Bucker also agreed with the board not to give any players any extended periods of time off so that the team work on their sense of harmony so they can get out of the league's relegation zone and compete on the Egypt Cup.
“I don't promise any titles this season, we have to work very hard to lift our position in the league standings and when we finally do that, then we compete for the Egypt Cup,” Bucker said on Thursday.
Ismaili appointed the German caretaker last week as a replacement to former Russian coach Victor Bondarenko who was sacked after leading the team to a series of defeats and straight into the bottom of the Egyptian league charts.
Bucker signed a six-month contract with Ismaili for a $9,000 monthly salary.
“We will bring professionalism into play in every little detail in the club, especially the players' eating, sleeping and attending the team training schedules. We will also reinforce the squad with four experienced played who will fill our attack and defense deficiencies,” he added.
Asked about his prospects with Ismaili, Bucker said: “I'm aiming to help straighten things out in the club and to clinch a leading position in the league chartings, if I succeed, I'll sit down with the board and maybe we'll agree on a new deal for next season.”
