Ahli scored in stoppage time to beat Minya 4-3 in the Egypt Cup round of 16.
Al-Sayed Hamdi opened the scoring on 26 minutes but Mahmoud Atef equalized before half time.
Ahli then scored twice in the second half through Amr Gamal and youngster Karim Ahmed 'Bambo'.
However, Minya striker Mahmoud Kaoud stunned the record holders with two goals in the final eight minutes.
But Ahli ace Gamal struck home in injury time to send his side through dramatically.
