Former Egypt striker Mido has announced that he will not be assuming a managerial role at Zamalek. Mido, who was invited by his boyhood club to join the first team's management a month ago, posted on his Twitter account he will not be undertaking the role without specifying the reasons behind his announcement. The ex-Tottenham frontman, however, said he 'presented a written project to the club's board of his views to develop the youth sector'. Mido had previously set several conditions regarding the football committee's authority in order to accept a role at the Cairo giants. His decision comes despite board member Ayman Younes declaring that all the conditions were accepted by the club. The 30-year-old, who retired from football this year, is currently working as a TV analyst for Al-Jazeera Sport.
