Egypt's home tie in the World Cup qualifying playoffs could take place in Morocco, an FA official said. The Pharaohs, who are still waiting to know their final phase opposition, are struggling to stage home games amid mounting security concerns. After assistant manager Diaa Al-Sayed had declared that playing away from Egypt would be a reasonable option for the team, the FA will make one last attempt to host the match at home. "As soon as we learn about the team we will be facing in the playoffs, we will request playing at Cairo Stadium," FA board member Ahmed Megahed told FilGoal.com. "We will then set a short-term deadline for authorities to reply to our request. If we didn't receive a quick response, Morocco shall be the second option." The draw of the final World Cup qualifying playoff will take place in Cairo next week as Egypt prepare to take on Guinea in a group game to spare. The seven-time African champions are expected to meet one of the Dark Continent's top-seeded teams, which include Ivory Coast, Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana and Cape Verde.
