Cameroon have booked the final 10th ticket to the World Cup qualifying playoff round following a 1-0 home win over Libya in Group I. As Libya had a chance to overcome Cameroon and qualify for the playoffs after trailing the hosts by only one point, the North Africans were undone by a late first-half header from defender Aurelien Chedjou. The Indomitable Lions entered the game topping the group already after their 2-0 defeat to Togo had been overturned as the latter had fielded an ineligible player in their game. Cameroon join Cape Verde, Senegal, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Egypt, Algeria and Ivory Coast to the playoffs. The 10 teams will play two-legged five fixtures, which will see the winners make it to the Brazil World Cup finals next year.
