Ahli striker Dominique da Silva has been omitted from the squad for the Champions League home encounter with Congo's Leopards after demanding not to feature in games few days ago. Although Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz made it clear that the player ‘has no right' to request not to play, the Mauritanian frontman has been omitted from the team's squad. It remains to be seen what would be Dominique's next destination after being linked with a Turkish club, even though Ahli have yet to receive a solid offer for his services. Should the 24-year-old - who joined in 2011 - leave this summer, African champions Ahli will have all three slots for foreign players free. The Reds regain the services of Ahmed Fathi, Hossam Ashour and Ahmed Abdul-Zaher for the crucial game. Ahli are currently third of Group A on four points, as a win over Leopards would boost their chances as to qualifying for the Champions League semis.
