Egypt assistant manager Diaa Al-Sayed insists there has been no agreement with Uganda yet over a proposed friendly meeting this month. After announcing they will host Mali in Hurghada on August 14, Egypt were surprised to learn that Uganda are claiming they have an appointment with them on the same day. A Ugandan official declared that the game ‘is definitely on', even so Egypt's second man Al-Sayed refused to acknowledge the claim. "Yes we have spoken to Uganda over a friendly but it was only a second option in case Mali declined to come to Egypt," Bob Bradley's assistant told FilGoal.com. "There has been no final agreement with to make them announce they will play against us. "We are still waiting for Mali's final response to confirm our opponents." It is believed that Mali could be reluctant to play the friendly after Egypt had changed the venue from Casablanca to Gouna. As authorities refuse to stage any football event in Cairo or Alexandria, the coastal town of Gouna is temporarily regarded as the primary home venue for Egyptian teams.
