Egypt have announced a squad of 26 players for the friendly game against Mali in Morocco on August 14 as nine foreign-based players were named. England-based Adam Al-Abd returned to the squad as well as Lierse duo Hossam Ghaly and Ahmed Samir Farag were also recalled after a long absence. Egypt U-20 quartet Ahmed Hassan 'Koka', Rami Rabiea, Ahmed Samir and goalkeeper Mosaad Awad were also chosen in Bradley's selection. Bob Bradley's men take on Mali as the Pharaohs prepare for the last World Cup qualifying game against Guinea in September. Egypt have already made it to the qualifying playoffs but will be taking the Mali game seriously as they aim to improve their FIFA monthly ranking. A victory over Mali and Guinea would see them maintain an outside chance of moving into the top five nations continentally. The final qualifying playoffs will see 10 group winners drawn into five home-and-away ties, with the seeding position based on FIFA's September ranking.
