CAIRO, May 17, 2018(MENA) – Belarus Ambassador to Egypt Sergei Rachkov said the first visit paid by a high-level Egyptian delegation to Belarus capital Minsk was successful. An Information technology delegation chaired by Egyptian Undersecretary of Communications and Information Technology Ministry Nermine El Saadany has recently taken part in the 25th session of the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies (TIBO-2018), held in Minsk. Rachkov told MENA Thursday that El Saadany had fruitful talks during the visit with Belarus Minister of Communications and Informatization Sergei Popkov and his deputy Anna Ryabova. They considered how to increase bilateral cooperation in the field of communications and information technology and the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed last month between Egypt and Belarus, in addition to expanding partnership between the public and private sectors, among others. The ambassador added that El Saadany reviewed initiatives launched by President Abdul Fattah El Sisi in the sector of communications and information technology, as well as promising opportunities and achievements of the Eurasian Economic Union on that score.
