India's ICCR offers 13 slots to Egyptian students under its Africa Scholarship Scheme for 2023-2024

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has offered 13 slots to Egyptian students under its Africa Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2023-2024 for studying in Under-graduate, Post-graduate and PhD courses in various Indian Universities/Institutes.
According to the press statement issued by India's embassy in Cairo, interested students should register and apply on the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal. Some of the main highlights of the Scholarship Scheme are as follows: The applicant has to register and apply online on the ICCR Scholarship
Portal "Admission 2 Alumni" will be operational from 20 February 2023. The deadline for application is 30 April 2023.
The ICCR mentioned that students between the age of 18 years to 30 years can apply for UG & PG courses, while PhD programmes are up to 45 years. Applicants have the option to apply to 5 universities/institutes in the order of their preference of study.
Applicants are advised to visit respective Universities /institutes website regularly, courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about the University/ institute before applying for admission.
Since the medium of instructions for the course is English, the applicant should be able to speak, read and write in English. For AY 2023-2024, a 500-word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency. Besides, students can also submit their TOFEL/IELTS etc. For BSc and BE/B. Tech courses, candidates should have taken physics, chemistry, and mathematics (PCM) in their school leaving examination as this is mandatory criteria for Engineering courses.
The press statement said that only applications submitted through the A2A Scholarship Portal will be considered. The application will not be considered without English translation of documents if the original documents are not in English.
Detailed guidelines on the process of applying for ICCR Scholarships are available on the A2A portal.The scholarship will cover a return economy class airfare, tuition fees, living allowance, and a stay in the Campus hostel.
