Erasmus Mundus is a bilateral cooperation programme held amongst all universities in Egypt and Europe. It aims to enhance quality in higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world.
1) Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes:
Follow an integrated Masters Course or Doctoral programme in two or more universities.
All students from Egypt are eligible to apply for scholarships to 138 Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and 42 Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates.
2) Erasmus Mundus partnerships:
Study at European partner universities in a range of disciplines at a range of academic levels.

Fulbright scholarship flagship is an international educational exchange programme sponsored by the US government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
The Fulbright Programme offers grants to qualified Egyptian graduate students to study at the graduate level in the United States. Egyptian scholars may apply to conduct post-doctoral research at US institutions and are also eligible for Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Grants.

The Polytechnic Institute LaSalle Beauvais — France and Sinai University exchange programme. LaSalle is an Engineering school for post-graduates in the fields of agriculture, food processing, diet-health, geology and environment. Additionally, collaborative researches will take part in this scientific agreement.

IWATEC Exchange Programme. The Centre for Water and Environmental Research at University of Duisburg-Essen in collaboration with Fayoum University offers a joint project called IWATEC. IWATEC is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and financed by the Federal Foreign Office with a total of 220,000 Euros till the end of 2013. It is expected that IWATEC will be extended till end of 2014. The quality of the programme objectives will be assured by a scientific steering committee.

The University of WALKATO, New Zealand in collaboration with Cairo University offers 40 scholarships for PhD scholars regardless of the student's nationality. In addition, it is important to highlight that the tuition fees for such a university are low in comparison to others. The student can work and have his/her own accommodation, a whole year after graduating.
