Health Minister inaugurates 57th session of Council of Arab Health Ministers
Conference is held on 21-22 May in Geneva on sidelines of 75th meeting of WHO General Assembly

Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Acting Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, who is also the Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, opened the 57th session of the conference.
The session is being held on 21 and 22 May, in Geneva on the sidelines of the 75th meeting of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO).
During the meeting, Abdel Ghaffar stressed the continuation of full support to Algeria in the presidency of the 57th session of the council, whose agenda includes several topics of great importance.
He noted the inclusion of 8 items and topics on the agenda of the current session, stressing that these topics include issues and items of common interest to all, expressing his hope to reach a consensus and approach on them, in preparation for submission to the council.
The minister pointed out that the delicate and difficult conditions that the world has experienced for two years as a result of the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, increased the suffering that was accompanied by exceptional health, economic and social conditions, which cast a shadow over the Arab people.
He added: "This imposes on everyone not to spare any effort to raise these damages and the suffering on their shoulders, especially with the continued deterioration of the humanitarian and living conditions in a number of brotherly Arab countries that are witnessing conflicts or wars."
Abdel Ghaffar concluded his speech by thanking Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh for the vital role she plays in coordinating and organizing the work of the council and its executive office to come out in an honorable manner. He also thanked the Technical Secretariat of the Council for their unremitting efforts in preparing Organizing the sessions and bringing it out in the appropriate manner.
