Initiative extended its work for Egyptians until end of 2019

Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, announced on Sunday the completion of the examination of 36,134 non-Egyptian expatriates in Egypt as part of the President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's ‘100 Million Health' initiative.
According to the ministry's statement, the move of examining expatriates is part of Al-Sisi's orders to survey and treat Egypt's refugee and foreign guests of the hepatitis C virus.
Zayed pointed out that the presidential initiative aims to survey children aged 12 to 18-years-old, and adults above the age of 18 without a maximum age by 309 survey points distributed across the governorates, free of charge.
Khaled Mogahed, advisor to the minister of health for media affairs and official spokesperson of the ministry, said that most nationalities mentioned at the survey points are Syrians, followed by Palestinians, and Sudanese, stressing that the survey tests and the disbursement of treatment are free of charge to all arrivals in Egypt.
He also stressed that the president's ‘100 Million Health' initiative to eliminate hepatitis C and the detection of noncommunicable diseases, has extended its work for Egyptians in 309 survey points across the country, in addition to 41 points of survey at land, air, and sea ports, until the end of this year, in order to survey all citizens.
