Triple M Construction Company has completed electricity and communication works for wind farms with a combined output of 426 MW.
Chairperson of the company, Hatem Romy, said that the company has implemented electricity and communication works for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) wind farm with an output of 220 MW and the FIEM project of 120 MW, along with Al-Rajf station in Jordan of 86 MW. The company is one of the largest companies in its field in the Middle East.
Romy called on the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors to register the new and renewable energy projects, including wind farms and solar power plants. He stressed the need to for an association or entity that includes all the domestic solar energy companies to participate in the contracting and the local part of the solar energy projects in Benban Aswan.
He noted that an Egyptian-Jordanian energy company will be established with a capital of $5m to enter projects in new and renewable energy and expand into competing for projects in Egypt and Jordan and boost its business size this year.
He appealed to the government to seek the establishment of factories to produce components of the wind turbine locally to be a substitute for imports from abroad, which helps to strengthen the Egyptian economy and provide foreign exchange.
Moreover, he said that the company aims to participate in a number of projects this year in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Tunisia, Sudan, and Mauritania.
Romy noted that the Egyptian Petroleum Services Company, which he also chairs, has exported LED lights to Arab countries with 70% local components, with plans to reach 100% local components to allow them to bear the words "Made in Egypt".
