The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority's (NTRA) report for July revealed a significant improvement in the quality of internet browsing on mobile phones (HTTP Browsing Test) in Greater Cairo. NTRA tested more than 16,111 attempts to browse the internet through Egypt's three main mobile networks—Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat. All in all, only two attempts were disconnected, compared to 21 disconnected attempts in April. Vodafone ranked first among the three networks with its high-quality internet browsing service. Of 5,470 attempts, none were blocked or disconnected. Orange came in second place with 5,679 attempts, of which only one attempt was disconnected, according to NTRA's report. Etisalat ranked last as one out of 4,962 attempts to surf the internet were disconnected, while none were blocked. In the video streaming test, the report indicated stability in the quality of service in Greater Cairo in July compared to May. More than 7,925 attempts to stream videos were tested. According to the report, Orange and Etisalat recorded an acceptable performance in this category. Only six attempts out of 2,808 were blocked through Orange network, while none were disconnected. Etisalat experienced six blocked attempts, out of 2,440 tested attempts, while none were disconnected. Vodafone ranked last with 2,677 tested attempts, two disconnections, and 18 blocked attempts.
