Anwar Wagdi and Leila Morad were - at one time - the golden couple of the Egypt's silver screen, photographed here by Armenzak Arzrouni in 1950. "The Cinderella of Arab Cinema" left a legacy of 27 films and nearly 1,200 songs that were produced between the 1930s and 1950s. Wadgi and Morad were married from 1945-1953, and he co-starred in 10 of her films, after establishing a production house together he was able to direct 7 himself. The Arab Image Foundation is a non-profit organization established in Lebanon in 1997.
