Egypt is looking forward to expanding cooperation with the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) to unlock greater opportunities for the private sector in development, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Wednesday. Kouchouk highlighted the government's focus on strengthening partnerships in sectors such as health, education, energy, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure, according to the announcement. During his meeting with ITFC CEO Adeeb Al Aama, Kouchouk affirmed Egypt's commitment to working with international partners to achieve comprehensive development through more sustainable policies. He added that fiscal policies are supporting economic activity through initiatives aimed at boosting production and exports, while tax and customs facilities continue to serve as instruments to attract investment. For his part, Al Aama said the ITFC remains committed to supporting efforts to enhance Egypt's economic competitiveness and aims to build on the success of existing cooperation as a model for effective development partnerships.
