The operations room at the Ministry of the Interior reported the regularity of security services at all polling centers before the start of casting ballots on the last day of the second phase of parliamentary elections today. The second phase of Peoples' Assembly elections takes place in 9 governorates, namely Giza, Ismailia, Sohag, Beni Suef, Suez, Aswan, Baheira, Menoufia and Sharkia. In a statement to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Thursday, a source from the operations room said that the room is still receiving notifications sent by the armed forces assigned to secure polling centres on securing ballot boxes, which were closed and sealed with red wax yesterday after the voting process ended on the first day of the second phase. It should be noted that 18,082,394 people are eligible to vote in the second phase of elections. Voters are divided on 4589 polling centers with a total number of 10,922 polling headquarters. They would cast their ballots at 20,0129 sub-polling centres supervised by 10,922 judges, in addition to about 2000 judges, members of the judiciary.
