CAIRO: A report issued by the Central Body for Public Mobilization and Statistics mentioned that 18.5 million Egyptians across nine governorates will vote in the parliamentary elections' second phase, which will begin on December 14. The second phase will see nine governorates voting, including Giza with more than 4.2 million voters, Ismailia with 652,503, Sharqia with 3.5 million, Menoufia with 2.2 million, Suez with 355,286 and Beheira with 3.2 million. This phase will see a 1.5 million voter increase on the first phase. From Upper Egypt, Sohag has 2.3 million voters, Beni Suef has 1.4 million and Aswan has 805,125. The report revealed 49.2 million Egyptians are legally eligible to vote as they are 18 or over. It said previous elections witnessed reluctance from voters to vote, with more than half the 49.2 million not going to polling stations.
