Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 13 - 06 - 2016

Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr is representing Egypt at the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) in Montreal on Monday. This important forum brings together world leaders and senior government representatives to discuss global economic challenges.
Under the rubric ‘Shaping a New Era of Prosperity', the event is running between June 13 and 16.
The Egyptian minister plans to hold a number of meetings on the sidelines of Montreal forum, with some global financial leaders participating in the event, notably Akinwumi Adesina – President of the African Development Bank (AfDB); and Irina Bokova - Director-General of UNESCO.
Nasr will also meet with Gabriela Ramos - OECD Chief of Staff and Sherpa to the G20; Sri Mulyani Indrawati – World Bank's Managing Director; Fatima Haram Acyl, Commissioner for Trade and Industry at the African Union Commission; Canadian Minister of International Trade Chrystia Freeland, and Quebec Minister Christine St-Pierre.
The International Economic Forum of the Americas is an independent not-for-profit organization based in Montreal, Canada, which hosts economic conferences and forums. The Forum presents three annual events: the Conference of Montreal, the Toronto Global Forum, and the World Strategic Forum, held in Miami. The International Economic Forum of the Americas was founded to promote the role of the Americas in decisions and reforms related to the current global economic context. Its mission is also to foster agreements, offer business opportunities and provide access to unique insights from leaders.
The Conference of Montreal is committed to heightening knowledge and awareness of the major issues concerning economic globalization, with a particular emphasis on the relations between the Americas and other continents.
The conference also strives to foster exchanges of information, to promote free discussion on major current economic issues and facilitate meetings between world leaders to encourage international discourse by bringing together Heads of State, the private sector, international organizations and civil society.
Minister Nasr will participate in forum's special session titled ‘Building Tomorrow's Infrastructure', to present Egypt's vision for the future of infrastructure projects and their impact on the growth and development in Africa.
