A high level delegation led by the Managing Director of the World Bank Group, Sri Mulyani Indrawati arrived Thursday in Sharm El Sheikh Airport, to participate in Egypt's Economy Development Conference (EEDC), scheduled to be held on Friday. Indrawati was accompanied by the group's top officials, including the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Jen Yong Kai and the World Bank's Vice President, for the Middle East and North Africa, Hafez Ghanem. Indrawati said the group's participation in the conference aims to boost the Egyptian efforts to develop the country's economy and attract foreign investments, adding that the conference paves the way for talks over economic cooperation between the group and Egypt. Indrawati will meet with entrepreneurs and representatives of NGOs in Egypt for talks over the economic challenges faced by the country's youth, including education and unemployment.
