Turkey tops importers of Egypt chemical industries in 9 months

Turkey is the biggest importer of Egypt's chemical industries for the first nine months of 2015, a recent report by the Egyptian Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council showed.
Turkey has captured 30 percent of the Egyptian chemical industries exports, registering 9-month imports worth 2.6 million Egyptian pounds (US$323.8 million).
According to the Egyptian Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council's latest report, the exports retreated 33 percent to record 16 billion pounds during the period from January until September in 2015, opposed to 22.5 billion pounds in the same period in 2014.
The report also added that Saudi Arabia was ranked second in the list of the top importers of the Egyptian chemical industries, with imports valued at 1.1 billion pounds, followed by France with imports worth 718.5 million pounds, and then Belgium with imports of 686.3 million pounds.
Meanwhile, Italy was ranked fifth, with imports estimated at 627.5 million pounds, followed by Sudan with imports worth 638.8 million pounds, and then Spain with imports worth 623 million pounds.
Moreover, Kenya took eighth place, with imports recorded at 573.5 million pounds, followed by UK with imports of 497.6 million pounds, and then Iraq with imports worth 489.9 million pounds.
