Egypt's stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday, with the main benchmark edging lower while broader indices posted modest gains. The blue-chip EGX30 index fell 0.10 per cent to 35,210.7 points, while the Shariah-compliant EGX33 slipped 0.13 per cent to 3,487.61 points. The EGX35-LV dipped 0.08 per cent to 3,844.78 points. In contrast, smaller-cap indices advanced, with the EGX70 up 0.13 per cent at 10,550.99 points and the broader EGX100 adding 0.13 per cent to 14,032.71 points. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.49 trillion Egyptian pounds. By investor type, Arab and non-Arab foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing 24.3 million pounds and 2.36 billion pounds worth of shares, respectively.
