Egypt's Future University has renewed its cooperation protocol with Ireland's University College Cork (UCC), allowing continued dual degrees for pharmacy students and expanded student and faculty exchanges, the ministry of higher education said on Tuesday. The agreement was signed at by Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University, and John O'Halloran, President of UCC, in the presence of senior academic officials from both institutions. Under the protocol, pharmacy students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels will continue to receive dual degrees. The agreement also aims to enhance joint research, scientific collaboration, and academic activities between the two universities. Minister of Higher Education Ayman Ashour highlighted Egypt's growing higher education system, which now includes public, private, community, technological, and foreign university branches. He stressed that international partnerships and dual-degree programmes are part of Egypt's strategy to improve quality, broaden access, and attract students from the Arab region, Africa, and the Middle East.
