Egypt's stock market (EGX) closed lower on Sunday, with all major indices ending mostly in the red. The benchmark EGX30 index fell 0.88 per cent to 34,455.41 points, while the Shariah-compliant EGX33 slid 0.33 per cent to 3,479.4 points. The EGX35-LV index added 0.66 per cent to 3,872.57 points, the SMEs-focused EGX70 declined 0.08 per cent to 10,862.55 points, and the broader EGX100 dropped 0.13 per cent to 14,325.09 points. Total market capitalisation stood at 2.44 trillion Egyptian pounds. Egyptian investors were net sellers with 9.4 billion pounds, while Arab and non-Arab foreign investors were net buyers, with 6.5 billion pounds and 2.8 billion pounds, respectively.
