The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed higher on Sunday, buoyed by broad-based gains across major indices. The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.62 per cent to finish at 33,206.76 points, while the EGX33 Shariah Index advanced 0.89 per cent to 3,457.09 points. The EGX70, which tracks small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), led the rally with a 1.02 per cent gain, ending at 9,911.08 points. Meanwhile, the EGX100 index increased 0.84 per cent, closing at 13,457.19 points. The total market capitalisation stood at 2.36 trillion Egyptian pounsd by session close. Local and Arab investors were net buyers, with net purchases totaling 102.4 million pounds and 1.46 billion pounds, respectively.
