Egypt's food exports climbed to $3.36 billion in the first half of 2025, with sales to the country's top 15 markets accounting for $1.96 billion, the Food Export Council (FEC) said on Sunday. Saudi Arabia was the largest buyer, importing $258 million worth of Egyptian food, or 8 per cent of the total, followed by the United States at $230 million, or 7 per cent, the council said. Exports to Sudan reached $163 million and to Libya $157 million, each capturing around 5 per cent. Egypt also maintained solid demand in European and Arab markets, including the Netherlands, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, and Germany, according to the report.
