Asia-Pacific markets mostly declined on Tuesday as investors assessed the impact of US President Donald Trump's tariff threats and the dismissal of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index led regional losses, dropping 1.18 per cent to close at 25,524.92. China's CSI 300 fell 0.37 per cent to 4,452.59, ending a four-day winning streak. The Kospi index closed 0.95 per cent lower at 3,179.36, while the Kosdaq was up 0.46 per cent at 801.66. Japan's Nikkei 225 declined by 0.97 per cent to 42,394.40, and the Topix index fell 1.08 per cent to 3,071.99. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.41 per cent to 8,935.60.
