Egypt's PM strengthens ties with AU at TICAD 9

Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met with African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf on the sidelines of the TICAD 9, being held in Japan during the period from August 20 to 22, 2025, the Cabinet said on Wednesday.
Madbouly discussed cooperation on political and security developments in Africa. The meeting reflects the depth of Egypt's partnership with the African Union and Cairo's commitment to supporting African institutions across sectors, aiming to realise the continent's aspirations for stability and prosperity.
