Egypt's Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade hosted the third meeting of the National Committee on the Business Readiness Report on Tuesday. During the meeting, El-Khatib said that the government is working to improve Egypt's ranking in the new World Bank Business Ready Report (B-READY), scheduled for release in 2026, to place Egypt among the world's top 50 economies. He explained that the committee has identified a reform matrix of 209 measures covering legislative frameworks, digital services, data transparency, and operational efficiency. These reforms, he said, will be translated into regulatory decisions and legal amendments to strengthen Egypt's business climate. El-Khatib added that the B-READY report is a vital national project for the state and both Egyptian and foreign investors. He noted that the committee has made significant progress towards its objectives, supported by strong cooperation across ministries and agencies. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S.
