Egypt's Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib has convened the inaugural preparatory meeting for the Business Ready Report 2024. El-Khatib called for the formation of ten working groups comprising representatives from key ministries and the private sector to lead institutional and structural reforms over six months, aligned with the World Bank-led report's ten thematic pillars. Moreover, the minister described the report as a strategic tool to assess Egypt's business environment and institutional readiness to support economic growth and investment, urging monthly monitoring of legislative, digital, and operational progress. El-Khatib also directed the technical secretariat to hold regular meetings with entities concerned to advance reforms. Egypt is expected to issue its first edition of the report in 2024, joining a group of 50 economies worldwide. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
