European stocks climbed on Tuesday, supported by upbeat earnings and renewed investor optimism over a possible interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve next month. The pan-European STOXX 600 index was up 0.36 per cent by 11:35 a.m. GMT. Germany's DAX led the gains with a 0.80 per cent rise, followed by the UK's FTSE 100, which advanced 0.54 per cent.
