European stock markets inched up on Monday as investors monitored developments in EU-US trade negotiations ahead of the July 9 deadline for lifting the pause on reciprocal tariffs proposed by US President Donald Trump. The pan-European STOXX 600 rose 0.02 per cent by 8:00 am GMT. Germany's DAX led gains with a 0.31 per cent increase, followed by France's CAC 40 up 0.15 per cent and Spain's IBEX 35 rising 0.20 per cent. Meanwhile, the UK's FTSE 100 edged down 0.04 per cent.
