European stock markets advanced on Monday after US President Donald Trump postponed a planned 50 per cent tariff on European Union imports, easing investor concerns and boosting sentiment. The pan-European STOXX 600 gained 1.24 per cent as of 7:43 GMT. Germany's DAX led the gains, rising 1.49 per cent, while France's CAC 40 and Spain's IBEX 35 each added 1.00 per cent.
