European shares slipped on Wednesday, paring gains from earlier in the week, after Dutch chipmaker ASML warned that US tariffs were fuelling uncertainty around its 2025 and 2026 outlook. The pan-European STOXX 600 fell 0.72 per cent by 9:36 am GMT, dragged down by losses in the tech sector. Germany's DAX dropped 0.46 per cent, France's CAC 40 lost 0.57 per cent, the UK's FTSE 100 slid 0.35 per cent, and Spain's IBEX 35 edged down 0.24 per cent.
