Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a meeting with the World Health Organisation's (WHO) Representative in Egypt Neema Abed to discuss mechanisms for enhancing ongoing partnerships to strengthen healthcare responses and ease the burden on the most vulnerable populations. The meeting reviewed key areas of cooperation, including boosting emergency response capacities, improving rapid response planning, and securing medical supplies and logistical support. It also addressed training healthcare personnel in emergency care, mass casualty management, and combating communicable and non-communicable diseases. Talks also covered early warning systems, epidemiological surveillance, community engagement, and the use of digital platforms to support quicker decision-making.
