Egypt's Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Tunisian Health Minister Moustafa Al-Ferjani to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange expertise in public health and medical care, as per a Cabinet statement. Abdel Ghaffar emphasised the strong historical ties between the two nations and their dedication to improving collaboration, especially in healthcare, as a key aspect of sustainable development in both countries. The meeting aligns with ongoing coordination and consultation on shared health priorities, including the implementation of previously signed agreements and protocols. These cover areas such as improving medical services, training healthcare professionals, and exchanging knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing, primary healthcare, and combating communicable and non-communicable diseases. Tunisia's health minister praised Egypt's notable achievements in the healthcare sector, especially in presidential health initiatives and the Universal Health Insurance System.
