Egypt's Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with representatives from the German Health Alliance (GHA) to explore increased cooperation and investment in Egypt's health sector, as per a Cabinet statement. Abdel Ghaffar affirmed that Egypt's political leadership is committed to placing the health sector at the forefront of national priorities, as part of the country's Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030. GHA highlighted their activities in Africa and the Middle East. Discussions focused on cooperation in public health, disease prevention, emergency response, and medical training programmes. The meeting covered potential collaboration in research, diagnostic imaging, pharmaceutical policy, health economics, supply chain management, quality assurance, hospital management, and enhancing primary healthcare systems. The discussions emphasised Egypt's healthcare infrastructure development efforts, including hospital construction, digital health services expansion, and public-private partnerships in healthcare facility management to improve service quality. Meanwhile, both sides explored cooperation in various medical specialisations and identified areas of mutual interest in preparation for launching long-term strategic partnerships, as per the statement. The GHA delegation praised Egypt's investment climate and healthcare reforms, expressing readiness to collaborate on delivering safe medical services aligned with the ministry's vision.
