Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a meeting with Albanian Ambassador to Cairo Sami Shiba to explore ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector. The talks focused on medical training, pharmaceutical manufacturing, vaccine production technologies, primary healthcare development, and digital transformation in health services. Both sides also discussed launching joint programmes to combat communicable and non-communicable diseases and exchange expertise in areas such as universal health coverage, medical research, and health tourism. The meeting included a proposal to form a joint working group to follow up on planned initiatives and coordinate training programmes and workshops. Abdel Ghaffar expressed hopes of signing a memorandum of understanding to pave the way for a sustainable and effective health partnership between the two countries.
