Egypt's Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Alessandro Fracasseti, the outgoing Resident Representative of the UNDP in Egypt, to review joint projects and explore future cooperation, the Cabinet said on Monday. The meeting reviewed ongoing programmes, funding strategies, and future visions for partnership development, with a particular focus on the planned upgrade of the medical waste management complex in Suez Governorate. The discussions also touched on expanding collaboration in the area of human development, in alignment with Egypt's national priorities to enhance citizen capacity and improve the quality of public services. Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of continued coordination to achieve shared objectives, especially in the run-up to the International Conference on Population and Development set for November. Fracasseti expressed his appreciation to the minister, praising Egypt's efforts in advancing human development and reaffirming the UNDP's commitment to supporting impactful outcomes for the Egyptian people.
